Ho Chi Minh City’s five-star hotel Reverie Saigon has won the award for “best lobby” at this year’s “The best of the best: World’s top hotels” awards.
The awards given by Australian travel site Traveller was based on votes by tourism experts who “have spent thousands of nights inside hotel rooms throughout their travels.”
The Traveller said: “The fantasy lobby here is mind-bogglingly ostentatious yet somehow the hotel pulls it off, Murano glass chandeliers and blue Bolivian marble tiles and all.”
The hotel on Nguyen Hue Boulevard has 286 rooms, suites and residential suites that combine modern design and traditional Italian craftsmanship.
It has a 24-meter-long swimming pool decorated with unique tiles on the sixth floor where guests can enjoy music from an underwater sound system.
Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa in Fiji was voted as having the world’s “best welcome” and The Clan Hotel in Singapore has the world’s “best welcome drink.”
Bensley Collection in Cambodia has the world’s “best hotel room” and L’Oscar in the U.K. has the world’s “best hotel beds.”
Marriott Mena House in Egypt has the world’s “best view.”
